Hi, I’m David
I’ve been sweeping chimneys in Cobb and the surrounding counties since 1997. My picture is here so you know who to expect at your door, on time, and to show that I stand behind my work.
After three years in the industry I noticed most homeowners know very little about their fireplaces and chimneys, which makes it easy to be taken advantage of with exaggerated repair recommendations, while some truly needed repairs go unnoticed. I started Atlanta’s Chimney Caddy to be the sweep who educates: a simple overview of fire and chimney physics, hands-on help with dampers, vents and gas, and practical tips to burn safely and efficiently.
No upselling
If I see a potential hazard, I explain why it may be a problem, what is needed to fix it, and how to ask for it, so you can confidently get bids for the repair.
Certified
I’m a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep (Chimney Safety Institute of America) and a graduate of the National Chimney Sweep Training School. Certified sweeps are trained to tell cosmetic issues from serious ones and affirm a code of ethics.
